Edukors Graph

An open framework for designing and delivering adaptive courses.

Edukors Graph (EG) separates the roles of its actors into three categories:

Author

A person, typically a teacher, responsible for conceiving and developing the course. Their main tool is the Edukors Graph Editor.

Alternatively, the author can use tools such as Claude Code or Codex with a dedicated skill:

The final product is a single JSON file with the .egf extension (Edukors Graph Format). Its specification is available here:

Provider

A web server that hosts an application called the player, which essentially “plays” the JSON created by the author. The player can be built in many ways; a suggested implementation is available below.

A key feature of the player is delivering the course through the LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) protocol.

Consumer

The application that presents the course supplied by the provider to the learner. It is an LMS (Learning Management System) compatible with the LTI protocol, such as:

  • Moodle
  • Canvas
  • Blackboard
